Our mission

Cogite.ai was founded on a simple belief: artificial intelligence is never truly artificial. Every AI model, however sophisticated, rests on human work — the work of annotators who patiently label, classify, evaluate and structure the data that feeds the algorithms.

Our mission is twofold: to produce excellent datasets for the companies building tomorrow's AI, and to establish French-speaking Africa as a key player in this rapidly expanding industry. We believe that quality comes from stable teams, continuous training and the dignity of annotation work.

Our approach

Where crowdsourcing platforms recruit thousands of strangers to annotate in parallel, we made the opposite choice: a permanent, identified, trained and long-term committed team. Every annotator goes through an internal certification program before being assigned to client projects. This approach is more demanding, but it's the only one that guarantees the consistency, accuracy and confidentiality that serious enterprises require.

Our team

Over 180 professional annotators make up our team today, primarily based in Douala (Cameroon). All are university graduates, perfectly bilingual in French and English, and trained on industry-leading tools (Label Studio, CVAT, Labelbox, V7). Our AI project managers coordinate client missions, ensuring operational fluidity and final quality.

Rollo Technologies Inc.

Cogite.ai is a brand of Rollo Technologies Inc., a US corporation incorporated in Delaware, which operates several technology products serving French-speaking African markets. This structure allows us to combine US legal security with African operational expertise — an asset for our international clients who contract with a proven legal entity.

Our social commitment

Every client project creates skilled jobs in French-speaking Africa. We train young graduates in a future-proof career, offer them a progressive career path (junior → senior annotator → domain specialist → project manager) and contribute to the emergence of a local AI ecosystem. Our belief: responsible annotation is not a slogan, it's our business model.
